About Us

Registration Fee - $25.00 annually; $10.00 for the second child. Payment through PayPal at our website or by mail is required before registration is considered complete and to also reserve your spot in class. The fee is due before the first lesson.

Tuition – Payments are all inclusive and cover the base price for lessons, the cost of a recital costume(s) and some recital expenses. The total of the above expenses will be divided into 9 equal monthly payments due Sept. – May.

Methods of Payment Accepted – The methods of payment will be cash, check, & automatic bank draft
set up by us or through PayPal where you pay each specific invoice sent by us. If you plan on using your phone to access your invoice on PayPal, you need to download the app. We do not accept credit/debit cards.

Service Fee – There is a $25 NSF fee for a dishonored check and a $10 fee for any dishonored bank draft. If 2 payments are missed those with delinquent accounts will be withdrawn from the studio. If you are not on auto bank draft set up by us you may incur a $5 late fee if the payment does not reach us by the 10th.

Attendance – Absences should be made up within 3 weeks. Call the studio to reserve a place in the appropriate level class and to assure that the number of students in the class does not exceed a manageable number.

Storm Days – The studio will close due to inclement weather as observed by the public school system. Students may attend make-up lessons.

Class Visitation – By invitation only or with prior approval by the instructor
Dress Code – We no longer sell dancewear & shoes for class at BDSS. Purchase your dancewear online or from the

recommended stores in our area listed below.

3-year-olds – Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Optional – dance skirt with elastic waistband instead of ribbon ties.

4K through Teens – Any solid-colored leotard, tights – pink or tan (full-footed or convertible). We do have tights for sale at the studio year-round.
Shoes – Pink ballet shoes, TAN tap shoes, TAN jazz shoes for those enrolled in jazz
Optional items - Skirts – pink or black; dance bag marked with student’s name

Dancewear can be purchased at the following stores: Academy Sports, Target, Wal-Mart; in Tallahassee at Dancewear Tallahassee by appointment; in Gainesville at Arabesque by appointment

Clean Shoe Policy – Students will not be allowed to enter the studio with dance shoes or street shoes that have been worn outside. They must arrive in a pair of street shoes and change into dance shoes in the lobby before entering the studio to protect the dance floors.

Grooming – Hair must be worn in a bun or pony tail with bangs pinned back. Students must be dressed in dance attire to participate in class or they will be asked to observe.

Drop Off /Pick-up Procedure at the Studio – Students should arrive 5 – 10 minutes prior to class & will not be allowed to leave the studio premises without written permission from a parent or guardian. Please be aware of the one-way drive & extended parking areas. Students should be picked up within 10 minutes after class.
